So nothing ever seemed right about that trial. After all of his bizarre behavior, I thought he was probably guilty or knew something about the murders. However, the media never seemed to let it drop. The media seemed like vengeful furies intent on turning the story back in the direction of his guilt.

He had everything--the knives (he was a chef who took them everywhere), the motive (infatuation with his step-mother), and the documented rage in which he once held a knife to his girlfriend's throat.
